West Ham United striker Ashley Fletcher has spoken to their official website and revealed the difference West Ham place on the Tottenham game and that Tottenham place on it


“This is a game where we want to come away with the three points. As soon as I joined West Ham I was made aware that Tottenham is one game that the fans look forward to. We will be doing everything we can to win and hopefully, it will propel us up the league.”

To West Ham it seems this is their biggest game of the season, to Spurs fans it is just another game against a London team, Arsenal of course, are our big rivals. Whenever you hear from West Ham fans though they can't seem to accept that fact.

The truth is, ALL clubs love to beat Tottenham, because their fans are so bloody annoying.

It's a relatively new idea that they are our big rivals.

Although I always want to turn this lot over I reserve my personal ire for Millwall and Chelsea.

What I would say though, is, for a team that supposedly don't give a shit about us, their fans go to extraordinary lengths to point out they 'don't care' about us.

Spurs I know hate us with an absolute passion. I accept they probably care more about Chelsea and definitely about Arsenal, but they haven't got much time for us either. And it's compounded by the fact that the games are always on a knife edge and giving three points to us 'East London Pikeys' irks them just as much as gloating middle-class Arsenal fans, or whinging Chelsea.

I love the games between the two clubs as the games are rarely boring, hotly contested and it's even better when there's something significant on the line because they always fucking choke!

They should have won the league last season, but in typical Spurs fashion, they couldn't jump the last hurdle. It's hilarious.

We're rivals. We hate them and they hate us. We both have bigger rivals, but West Ham v Spurs for me, is the most exciting derby in London.

Given Arsenal have finished above them every season since Wenger arrived I reckon they are pushing it a bit to claim a rivalry with them to be honest.
It's more of a Barcelona & Espanyol type arrangement really

I don't care care if they don't see us as rivals as their arrogance on all matters of football is the reason i see their support as a majority of cunts.

I hate cunts like them and don't need them to be our rivals as the reason to want to see them pummelled.

Don't believe all the bollocks they talk about not being bothered about us, Arsenal are without a doubt there main rivals as are Millwall to us. They where never able to match us off the pitch and that still gets there old school lot. They have no bragging rights over Arsenal or Chelsea so the deluded divs have a pop at us.

I got so much shit off Spurs fans after we beat them last year, at which point I reminded them that they don't care about us. They shut up after that, although that might be because it takes them a while to work out what words mean.

My last visit to UP was seeing these cunts choke, and effectively lose the title that night. Think they had the chance to go top that night, and I really think the momentum would have been with them, although we'll never know.

The ones I know fucking hate us and get very bitter. That's good enough for me.

Any Spurs fan will nominate Arsenal as his biggest rival team and asking any Arsenal fan the same question and Spurs will be the choice.

For me our biggest rival, the team more than any other I want to beat, is Chelsea.

I know quite a few Spurs fans and though a bigger club than us they have been in the joint shadows of both Chelsea and Arsenal for years and they are towards whom their dislike is channelled.

Spurs don't even register on my radar until we play them.
For me it goes Millwall and Manchester United, then Chelsea, I would even put Arsenal before spurs.
